Gordonvale Cottage Markets
On the first Saturday of each month (February through December - 7am to 12 noon) come visit the Gordonvale Cottage Markets. The local Gordonvale markets take place in Norman Park at the heart of sugar farming township of Gordonvale.
Weather permitting, most months there are over 120 stalls present. With the Stallholders coming from as far away as Tully, Innisfail, Mareeba and Atherton. Joining together with stallholders from Gordonvale, Edmonton and the surrounding Cairns and local area.
The local Gordonvale Scout Group convene the community markets. Giving the youth members real world leadership skills, and involvement in the local community. All funds raised by convening the markets go toward the running costs of the youth group.
Being a small country town, and run by a youth group such as Scouts. The markets have a happy vibe, often with live music, smiling faces, and an enjoyable atmosphere.
Stallholders and visitors alike all agree, these are a must see markets in the cairns region. With something for everyone in the family to enjoy, and a deal for everyone. Make the Gordonvale Cottage Markets a must do item on your itinerary.
